KLOW Peptide Blend: Composition, Research Background and Specifications

KLOW is an 80mg lyophilised research blend that combines four peptides: GHK-Cu, BPC-157, TB-500 (thymosin beta-4) and KPV. It builds on the GLOW blend by adding KPV, a tripeptide studied in inflammation research. This page explains each component, why they are studied together, and the specifications of the material we supply.

What is the KLOW blend?

KLOW is a pre-mixed research blend: four peptides are combined and freeze-dried together in a single 80mg vial, instead of being supplied in four separate vials. Three of the components are the same as in our GLOW blend; the fourth, KPV, extends the blend into inflammation research.

Blends like KLOW are used in laboratory work where researchers want to study several compounds from related research areas together, with a consistent ratio between them from vial to vial.

Each component has its own detailed research guide covering chemistry, mechanism and published studies.

Why these peptides are studied together

  • Related research areasAll four peptides are studied in models of tissue repair, remodelling and inflammation.
  • Different mechanismsGHK-Cu is linked to collagen and gene expression, BPC-157 to angiogenesis, TB-500 to actin and cell migration, and KPV to inflammatory signalling.
  • Inflammation and repairAdding KPV lets researchers look at inflammatory pathways alongside repair-related ones in the same model.
  • Consistent ratioA pre-mixed blend keeps the proportion between the four compounds the same across experiments.

Limitations of the evidence

  • Published research studies each peptide on its own; there is very little published research on this specific combination.
  • Findings for individual peptides cannot be assumed to apply to the blend.
  • Much of the evidence for each component comes from cell and animal models.
  • Interactions between four peptides in a single solution are not well characterised.

How blends are tested

Separating and measuring four peptides in one sample is more complex than testing a single compound. Our blends are independently tested by Janoshik, and purity figures for blends may also reflect the manufacturer’s data on the individual raw materials. Read more on our Quality & Testing page.

Regulatory status

None of the components of KLOW is approved as a medicine in the UK, and the blend is not a licensed medicinal or cosmetic product. It is sold strictly for in vitro laboratory research and is not intended for human or animal use.

Storage and handling in the lab

  • Store lyophilised powder at −20 °C, protected from light and moisture, for long-term stability.
  • Allow the vial to reach room temperature before opening to reduce condensation.
  • Once reconstituted for experiments, keep refrigerated (2–8 °C) and avoid repeated freeze–thaw cycles.
  • Avoid vigorous shaking, which can damage the longer peptides in the blend.

Frequently asked questions

What is in the KLOW peptide blend?

KLOW combines four research peptides in one 80mg vial: GHK-Cu, BPC-157, TB-500 (thymosin beta-4) and KPV.

What is the difference between KLOW and GLOW?

KLOW contains the same three peptides as GLOW (GHK-Cu, BPC-157 and thymosin beta-4) plus KPV, a tripeptide studied in inflammation research. KLOW is supplied as an 80mg vial and GLOW as a 70mg vial.

What does KPV add to the blend?

KPV is a tripeptide from the end of alpha-MSH, studied for its effects on inflammatory signalling in intestinal and skin models. It extends the blend from tissue-remodelling research into inflammation research.

Has the KLOW blend been studied as a combination?

Very little published research exists on this specific combination. Most studies examine each of the four peptides individually.

How should KLOW be stored?

Lyophilised KLOW should be stored at −20 °C, protected from light and moisture. Reconstituted solutions should be kept refrigerated and not repeatedly frozen and thawed.
